First Flight Corendon FDH-AYT 14.04.2019

On April 14th 2019 Corendon launched their new route from Friedrichshafen to Antalya, Turkey replacing Germania which went bust early 2019. I was again invited by the airport to take pictures of the ceremony on the apron.

At about 10:15 local time Corendon's 737-800 TC-TJU touched down at Friedrichshafen. After a water salute the airport's management, Corendon's management and crew celebrated the new route.

Last year the already operated some charter flights to Friedrichshafen. Now the launched this route the whole summer after Germania's insolvency in January. Corendon will from now on operate FDH-AYT first twice a week, Wednesday and Sunday. From mid June they start a third flight a week also on Sundays. While summer holidays in Baden-Württemberg they will even launch a fourth flight a week additionally to Tailwind (up to 3/7) and SunExpress (2/7) on the Antalya route.
