First Flight Sun-Air FDH-TLS 10.09.2019

On September 10th 2019 Sun Air of Scandinavia A/S took over their third route from Friedrichshafen with service to Toulouse, France. The route is part of Airbus's network connecting their sites all over Europe. Prevously the route was operated by the french airline Twinjet with Beechcraft B1900D. Now Sun-Air operates it with their Dornier 328 Jet aircraft. It's the third route for Sun-Air in cooperation with Airbus among TLS-BRE and SVQ-AGB. Also FDH-HAM is a important route for Airbus operated by Sun-Air. I was again invited by the airport to take pictures of the ceremony on the apron.

 

The 32 seat Dornier 328-300Jet arrived about 25 minutes early on Friedrichshafen's runway 06 while a beautiful autumn sunset. On board were press, airline and airport representatives aswell as some passengers of course.

 

SunAir will from now on operate FDH-TLS on 3 days a week, tuesday to thursday with a 2 flights a day. The flights are operated in a franchise agreement with British Airways and operated by Sun Air with their Dornier Do328Jet aircraft additionaly to their service to DUS and HAM started since June 2018. From now on the have three of their aircraft permanently based at FDH and hired additional local crews.
