First Flight Sun-Air FDH-DUS 04.06.2018

On June 4th 2018 Sun Air of Scandinavia A/S began operations on their new route from Friedrichshafen to Düsseldorf. I was again invited by the airport to take pictures of the ceremony on the apron.

At 09:45 AM the CEO of SunAir Christofer Sundberg landed the Dornier Do328-300Jet D-BMAD from their first turnaround in DUS 15 minutes early. On board were about 25 passengers. The airport fire brigade welcomed them with a big water salute.

After deboarding the aircraft the ceremony began. The SunAir representatives were welcomed by the airport CEO Claus-Dieter Wehr, Marketing President Andeas Humer-Hager and Friedrichshafens mayor Stefan Köhler.

SunAir will operate FDH-DUS on 6 days a week, Monday to Friday with a turnaround in the morning and evening per day and once on Sunday. The flights are operated in a franchise agreement with British Airways and operated by Sun Air with their Dornier Do328Jet aircraft.
