About me

I'm Alexander and living near the Lake Constanz.

I'm 19 years old and interested in aviation since I was a little child. My father is a frequent traveller so I had the chance to fly a lot around and I got interested in aviation. Over the years I found out more and more things about aviation and since spring 2015 I do planespotting. At the beginning I went to the airport every 2 or 3 months. These days I go to the airport about 2 times per month, sometimes even more since I have a car now and are way more flexible. I started with the old Canon 400D from my father until she thought she had to take a rest and don't wanted to take pictures any more (with a shutter counter round about 150,000 - so not too bad).

So it was time for a new one and I choose the Canon EOS 80D (and I love it).

I also upraged my lenses. Started with a Canon 17-85mm EF-S lens (with the 400D) it and a 70-300mm EF from Canon. Since Summer 2016 I have a Tamron 150-600mm lens. Furthermore I bought me the Sigma 18-300 lens to be more flexible (no reccomandation on this one! It may be great to due the range but image quality is not good and autofocus is slow and unreliable) and a Canon 10-18 for close up pictures and panoramic views.

Also sometimes I can lend a Canon 100-400 II lens. This is in my opinion one of the best lenses you can get.

Most of the times I go to my nearest and favoutite Airport - Friedrichshafen. It's a small regional airport in the south of Germany. You can find out more about it here. Sometimes I am at other airports, most often when I'm on holidays.
